Shlomo-Efenzadeh I don't know much about the phone, so I shouldn't be the first person to give advice, but if it's probably a phone issue, as AirPods are known to be pretty reliable. Obviously, first try forgetting the device and reconnecting. If that doesn't work, it might be a software issue which a factory reset should fix.
