When I went to Israel I ported my number that I had for the last 10 years to google voice for 20 dollars, then with out warning a couple of weeks later they suspended my google voice account which means I cant even port my number out. I tried appealing it several times but they said my account cant be reinstated. does any one know if there is anything to do about this?

801900Flip From what I found on the web:

    1. If your appeal gets denied the first time and you legitimately don't believe you violated the ToS, keep submitting appeals until granted. I got it on my second try. Now I'll be porting my number out before they do this to me again.
    2. File a Complaint with the FCC
“Once you request service from a new company, your old company cannot refuse to port your number, even if you > owe money for an outstanding balance or termination fee.”

From what I've seen, most people who followed Google Voice TOC, got there account back. Did you break any rules?

801900Flip Biden2020prez FCC complaints work really well, companies respond right away and are very helpful (regardless of how helpful their normal customer service usually is). Fill out [Login to see the link] and by ‘phone issues’ choose number portability.

The only rule I may have broken is that I was signed up for some news updates while with the previous carrier. I also tried to chat with google voice online but they claim they don't have access and the only way is to file an appeal.
