• Bluetooth keyboard

I was told I could connect a Bluetooth keyboard to my LG Classic Flip to make texting much easier. I've tried a few different keyboards to no success.
Any suggestions on running an external keyboard? Preferably Bluetooth, but wired will also be appreciated.

The pocket keyboard I have that I would really like to use is IS11-BT05

Any help pairing the 2 will be greatly appreciated!

FYI I tried very hard (before [Login to see the link] and [Login to see the link] gave us the excellent cursor app) to have an external mouse connect to the classic either by wire or Bluetooth (using an actual Bluetooth mouse that has no usb dongle). It works with a regular android smartphone but I בשום אופן couldn't get it to work on the classic flip. It seems to be missing OTG and also seems to not have the option of HID Bluetooth devices. I tried. Let someone more talented try...

I know people who have successfully gotten a bluetooth keyboard to work on alcatel. However, the only ones that work are theones that dont display a PIN on the screen and ask you to type it on the keyboard

I found this site and all the great apps and also wondered if Bluetooth keyboard would work on this phone.

I have not yet been able to make it work either but hoping there is a way.

Have also tried the great lg launcher app and Bluetooth settings but they do not appear to update the drivers or settings. The phone does not detect it at all.

If there is a way to add a Bluetooth apk it may be possible?

I've been trying to figure out why Hid can't be enabled but am stuck.

8.1 has this ability but it's disabled and hidden.
There are ways to supposedly enable it but am not sure if root is needed.

Even compiled an old app that is supposed to allow settings to be pushed via adb.

Does anyone know for sure if com.android.bluetooth is the module on the lg?

This thread gave me hope but I can go no further at this point sadly. [Login to see the link]

It feels like there should be a way but either root is needed or I am very close but do not know what next steps are.

Hope it's okay I'm bumping an old thread. I've been trying hard to find a Bluetooth app that will allow this to work. APKMIRROR has all the APK's for the LG Bluetooth apps. First I tried installing Bluetooth 9 and 10, but I couldn't install because those required a newer version sdk. So I tried version 7/8, and it didn't install because it won't allow me to downgrade. So I found [Login to see the link] and it installed successfully, but when I try to open Bluetooth, it crashes.

I downloaded another Bluetooth app, hoping that even though the current Bluetooth app crashes on my phone, I can still use Bluetooth. Unfortunately, it didn't work, because Bluetooth cannot be turned on without crashing. As of now, I am stuck, although maybe with a phone like LG rebel 4 I can take the Bluetooth app and put it on. If anyone has suggestions let me know.

Bump - (I hope I'm not talking to myself.) After searching my warehouse through many LG Devices, I found a few that run Android 8.1. I took the bluetooth APK from one of them (don't remember the model), and put it on my phone, and the keyboard still didn't work. (But it did work on the phone I took the bluetooth app from). Maybe there is something missing from the phone's hardware, I don't know. If anyone is interested in that bluetooth app, let me know and I'll post it, along with instructions how to get it on (but it doesn't seem to fix anything).
