A) I'd say 1st Verizon and ask them to either see if it's a problem on their end.
B) If it's not a technical problem on their side, ask them to send you a new sim card. (Make sure to tell them you're keeping your phone number.)
C) If a new sim card doesn't work backup all your stuff and try a factory reset.
