If you have the Sonim XP3 you may have noticed that none of the mouse apps so far work for the xp3, I've been working with Virresh, and he came out with a version that works pretty well with the xp3, it still needs some work, but I figured I'll give what we have so far. Activating it is pretty straightforward, just click setup permissions, enable screen overlay permission, then press back and enable accessibility permission. Then change the default activation key, you'll need to know the key code of the key you want to set, 17 is the star key, 18 is the pound key, and the speaker key is 285 [I cant list all keys, but these are prob ones you would use]. Press and hold the activation key to turn on/off, and when on press once to turn on/off scroll mode. Heres the link [expires in 7 days] https://we.tl/t-p0md9pp4nS

Virresh has released a new version with some updates, including scrolling speed, I found that the scrolling acts weird when its on really slow, it works good when its a little faster than half by me, you can test what works for you. I'm having issues with the scrolling speed. I have the latest version of the mouse even though I set the scrolling speed to the slowest it still goes really fast sometimes. Anyone else have that issue? Cc @Techgen

chaimontherun It might depend on your dpi, mine is set to 125, and by me i keep the scroll speed about 1/3 of the way to slow and it works fine. Also scroll speed increases the longer its held down

appsphoarflip Hi - Do you have any technical details on where this fix was done in Android 12? I just bought a Sonim XP3Plus and this is a real bummer 🙁
I intend taking a look at that code and seeing what the issue is myself and perhaps even reaching out to Sonim. No promises but any technical details you have (github issues, commits etc) would be great. Surely this virtual mouse thing is fixable.

Just for anyone else trying to get this working, I downloaded, built and installed the version of the virtual mouse at [Login to see the link] and it seems to work so far. Still testing it. This repo is a fork that was kindly done by someone and I am not sure if it has been merged back into the main repo, or it just worked for me because of some random cosmic event. Might be worth another look though. Scrolling does work but I can select chats in WhatsApp 🙂

I forked the app and changed it to use the enter button (66) instead of the ok button for the mouse click. Made it work on my XP5s. I hope it helps someone else as well. Here's the APK: [Login to see the link].
