  • Using Built-In Mouse for Apps on Kyocera DuraXV Extreme

I've seen people with the Kyocera DuraXV Extreme that when they're within an app, they can hold down the # key and activate the built-in Kyocera mouse to click and scroll. It works very well. When I've installed other apps, it doesn't work. Does anybody know how to activate and manage this feature? I can't find any information on it online.

FliphoneBochur So I just found and got in contact with a guy who knows how this works, and he said that this phone has 2 software versions. (Exact same model, but slightly different software.) The one with the older software version automatically gives you the option for the built-in mouse on installed apps, and the new one doesn't. Furthermore, the reason why the mouse didn't work on some of the apps I had installed later was that it doesn't give you the option for modified apps.

Flippy Thanks! I didn't see that. It still seems like there's no solution to get back.

wow i thought i was like the only person in the world who had the built in mouse works in apps... i tried pretty hard to pimpoint it or extract it but it didn't work out for various reasons now I would definitely be willing to follow any advice from anyone... The reason why I wanted it extract it so badly was because the phone started shutting off randomly whenever I plugged it in weird issue and I didn't want to factory reset the phone because I wasn't sure if the mouse would still stay. now the mouse does work on the new Kyocera Extreme Plus but it doesn't have T9 it has predictive text which is horrendous and extremely difficult to use personally I hate it I even tried putting T9 from the old extreme onto the new one but it doesn't work anyway in closing I'll try posting this on a few threads if anyone can walk me through how to extract the mouse app by all means go ahead suggest it I would love to send that out and then everyone would be able to use the built-in Mouse it works way better than the apps for a flip one (also I think the mouse is part of the android system app and not a standalone app because when the notification for the Mouse shows up on the bar on top as soon as you clear whatever app you're using the notification instantly disappears and as most of you know there is no notification logging on these phones but it does show that Android system sent the most recent notification) good Shabbos thx for reading. kit
