Not the VN220 for Verizon, I'm asking in regards to the Un220 which is compatible with Gsm Networks.

Trying to get it to work with a T-Mobile Sim card and I'm getting the same exact issues as my LG Classic/Wine2 that's unlocked.
Phone works but when in 4g Lte, it's delaying the phone call 10 seconds before dialing out.
Curios if anyone owns that device or is currently using it on TMobile? Or even Cricket/ At&t?

Myi all t-mobile simcards have this problem wen using it in a phone not branded for t-mobile direct

          mg5077 Interesting, never knew that.
While I've used the Alcatel Smart Flip from Cricket and At&t and never had this issue.

So this is basically made to be used for an At&t Sim or for someone that doesn't care for a 10 second delay for outbound and incoming phone calls. Or 2g with no picture messages on TMobile, but no delay.
          Interesting that there's no fix.
Always heard about these phones that were avlb for T-Mobile, decided to finally try it. Was never told they won't work properly.

Using the un220 on ultra mobile which is sub of tmobile. Only issue I had was that I had to manually switch the apn to get roaming data to work. Aside from that everything working fine

            esaphire3 That's really weird.
I have one like mentioned up thread and the calling is delayed by 10 seconds.

YEG Unlimited talk and text is $15/mo, unlimited talk/text +2GB is $19/mo

esaphire3 When you say you have roaming data, where does the service allow you to use it?
And there's no delays in the incoming and outgoing calls?
I would get the service just to try it out on the device, but my hunch is it doesn't/won't work even with ultra mobile.

I am in israel now and its roaming on cellcom, everything is fine no delays

Wow, good to hear you got it to work.

But I tried everything on my end to get it to work with T-Mobile and only have the 2g network for calling and then the 4g for the text and data.

My question is does it switch to 2G network before dialing out or receiving a call?

I know in Israel they still rely on 3G network so that might be the reason why it works, but curious in the US did it search for a 2g band before making the call?

Some ppl also dont notice that they have an issue, but really when people try to call them it doesnt go through 90% of the time

Flippy i wonder if in fact its true, or people got it to work?

Myi I know people who use it with "no issues" it means they dont get phone calls much, and dont notice either.... maybe in some other areas its better?

Star#Star#4636#star#star and setting the network to unknown helped me out with the sonim us cellular on T-Mobile until you restart the phone, however on the exalt the code did not work

Random *#*#4636#*#* and setting the network to unknown helped me out with the sonim us cellular on T-Mobile until you restart the phone, however on the exalt the code did not work

What's the purpose in doing that? Or rather why would that work?

esaphire3 I guess the wine2 would work the same then. Good DP.
