Hi everyone, I am in middle of polishing a native hebrew keyboard that I made for flip phones. In order to get the install instructions right for each phone I need some help from everyone. Can you run the command adb shell ime list and post the result here with the phone model? Thanks all

Thank you VERY much!! One הערה. It doesn't have some of the options of the original keyboard such as K9 and copy & paste.

Can you describe how the copy and paste would work? I.E what is the flow to copy and paste something from the keyboard that it is missing

Im not good at describing I just know that in the original keyboard there is a paste option if you press the top left button and scroll through all the options.

I just noticed a more serious issue. there is no number option that i can find and the only way to type numbers is with long press. especially annoying when trying to dial a number (the original keyboard defaults to numbers typing when in the dial screen, this one types letters...)

@BoruchAdler btw i know this is not the discussion here but the pointer also works extremely not good on lg phones it would be a good idea if u make it work well with a long press support

Apps4Flip-Admin After setting up "switchboard" -before exiting- you have to choose between "finish" or "settings", you hit "settings" (this is just the first time, then every time you go into the app you are at settings), [Login to see the link].
So when you are in the settings the first option is "enable switchboard", [Login to see the link].
if your switchboard is working then it's switched to on,
so now You switch it off, a dialog will pop up asking you to select a keyboard, [Login to see the link].
now you can select "Apps4flip Hebrew Keyboard" !
Don't forget to turn your switchboard back on (if you still don't have [Login to see the link] 's mouse...)
the next time you just enter to switchboard you will be in the settings, just switch it off and back on, you will get this menu again where you can change back to the reguler keyboard!

I'm using Kyocera cadence and I didn't test it on other models.
by the way-on the Kyocera cadence you can set up most apps including mouse, switchboard, button mapper, etc. without ADB, by granting the needed permitions in the phone's background menu!
if you have any questions about it post it with me mentioned, I will reply Iy"h when I have time.

Hi everyone, I just released a new version that allows you to change keyboards in app. Meaning you can switch from the built in phone keyboard to the hebrew keyboard and vice versa without any adb commands.

The first time you setup the app run the following adb command - adb shell pm grant com.android.cts.a4fhebrew android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

BoruchAdler did you have in plan to do something about my issue mentioned above mg5077 and also something more serious wile on a call like automated phone systems we need those 2 buttons # * critically
(because I call hot lines I'm unable to use your great app until you fix this problem)

[Login to see the link] yes, I plan on working on an upgrade that will use the top right and left menu buttons to change languages and caps instead of # and *. It will be a setting in a future upgrade. Stay tuned.

If you can get me the key code values for those 2 buttons for your phone, that would be a huge help.

on the button mapper I see the SOFT_LEFT (1) and the SOFT_RIGHT (2)
in just another point to set for long press so the default function of the button will stay in place
and also another think that by "abc" and "אבג" there is a speed (to fast) going to the next latter so we are able to double click for another latter like from א to ב but in the numbers mode it shouldn't be because if I dial a phone number which haves a double number like 8453511200 double 11 and 00 than I will see wen I finish dialing 84535120 because the wait

I think that just to set the # button for long press is a better option so the short press will be in place
and also the * button shouldn't be active in אבג and 123 mode there is no reason for that

BoruchAdler I Think you should rather work to put it in the phone's options-T9word,abc,emoji,copy,etc. - like TAG did...I understand that this should be a more difficult job.. But I think it's worth.. and with our team-work together we should be able to do it... so everybody is invited to share any help!
