• Nokia 2720 V Flip

Hey Everyone,

Verizon recently released a new phone to the Verizon collection of 4G basic phones. This phone stands out as it has Google Maps, WhatsApp (voice but not video), and Google Assistant preinstalled so. The price is only $80 (about $3/month). The phone runs on KaiOS (not android) which could make it difficult to filter and also probably more on the laggy side. I was wondering if anyone knows how to filter it so that the app store can be removed and also the other preinstalled apps like youtube. Not sure if the phone has email but it does have personal hotspot.

ayid I don't know anything about the phone, I'd just like to make one point. You mentioned that it runs on KaiOS, and that you're therefore assuming that it may lag.
I'm not convinced that KaiOS itself is the issue, but rather it's alcatel that makes junky phones, and that gives KaiOS a bad rap.
And since Nokia generally makes good products, I don't think this phone should be written off just bec it runs on KaiOS.

Jumptoheaven For some reason every Kai OS phone released in the US has been terrible and there is no reason to assume this model is any different.
A quick look a the few reviews out there confirm this.
They can do google, maps, youtube and more, but stink at basic contacs/messaging.
