Better if you have voice access. To get it to be the default sms app you need to enable it through adb and then all your text messages will come through there not message+ It would be great with a cursor if @[deleted] wants to add it (or anyone else who knows how for that matter) The adb command to set the default sms app is adb shell settings put secure sms_default_application com.android.cts.signallg To log in to signal (for the first time only!) you need to use scrcpy. For some reason voice access does not work to enter the code they text to you for verification. Maybe switchboard can do it. When doing it through scrcpy it will look like you aren't pressing on the numbers on the screen but you are. If you enter the verification code correctly it will work. Enjoy!

If you use the setedit app which I posted in app requests you dont need adb to set default sms app
just go to secure table and scroll down to sms_default_application and edit the value to com.android.cts.signallg
to switch back to message+ edit the value to com.verizon.messaging.vzmsgs

JKing2 yes. Your text messages won’t come through there though and you’ll only be able to message other people who have signal.

Just want to point this out although it might be obvious. This app uses data to send messages. Even if you are using it as your sms app it will still use data to send to other signal users. So if you’re gonna be sending full length videos to people and you have limited data be careful.

lgexalter1 trying to use scrcpy to put in the verification code but it's not starting on webadb.com I know others have had this issue in the past, any ideas? I tried downloading scrcpy from the odds 'n ends section on apps4flip.com but my computer thinks it's a virus @apps4flip is there a link you can post to download scrcpy? thanks

I'm unable to set it up also with scrcpy (I used it successfully on my phone) I can only tap on the same thing what I am able to tap with my phone

mg5077 for some reason it looks like you aren’t tapping the boxes. It’s like that on the exalt too. If you tap on the right numbers using scrcpy right after getting the verification code it should work even though it seems like you’re not hitting the numbers. Don’t wait too long because the code will expire

So I have Signal downloaded and installed onto my classic flip ( I have a cursor installed and scrpy) though I am unable to use it as I cannot send verification text because the phone gives an error message that it is "unable to connect to service. Please check network connection and try again."

I have tried mobile data on and off, wifi on and off etc. I also am using the apps for flip launcher fyi Any ideas on how to resolve this?
