I have 4 LG Classic Flips, one of them have Wi-Fi Calling in Settings > Wireless & Networks, but the other 3 don't. Some data points:

  • The one with Wi-Fi Calling is on software version L125DL10h, while another phone with the same software version doesn't include the feature.
  • Both of them don't have a filter installed
  • I am not aware of any major differences between the two.
  • I tried two third-party apps that enable Wi-Fi Calling, both crashed immediately when I opened them.

Does anyone know why this option is only on some phones? Can people post whether they have Wi-Fi calling? Please include your Software Version ( Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Software Version), filter status, and any other information thank you think makes a difference. Thanks!

      Biden2020prez Are they all the same carrier? (eg: Tracfone/straighttalk, etc)

          Biden2020prez Im pretty sure if you have an LG Classic flip with a Verizon sim card it will not have WiFi calling. If you put in a Tmobile sim card it will. This means if its still locked and you use walmart family mobile or gosmart or safelink or simple mobile then you will have wifi calling, if you are using tracfone (assuming you dont have an old tracfone tmobile sim), net10, straight talk, total wireless, then you wont have wifi calling. As far as unlocked devices, I know someone who was using with Tello and the Wifi Calling menue was there but was giving errors for use with tello.

              darth Great, thanks! The phone with Wi-fi calling has no plan (but I saw the option in settings). I am now trying to recreate that. Anyone know whether it will work on AT&T (TracFone can use AT&T based plan in the LG Classic, but doesn't support the T-Mobile based ones)?

                    Biden2020prez Did you try putting a sim starting with 8901? (thats what the tracfone brands that run on tmobile start with) I have found the phones sold as walmart family mobile and simple mobile will have it in the settings by default although once you put in a 8914 sim (Verizon brands) it will remove the option from the menu. And visa versa.

                        I have a Kyocera e4810, that definitely has Wi-Fi calling when used with a Verizon sim, but wont show the menu option when a Non-Verizon sim is put in, even though my service does include Wi-Fi calling. (Same for mobile hotspot)
