Desperate If your having trouble there, I recommend to skip doing it yourself and bring it to TAG. Playing around with Kai OS is not for the faint of heart...

      Flippy why it's fun!
I found the program I'll let you know if it worked.
BTW TAG doesn't customize my device and once filtered you can't modify it!

Desperate Great let us know here how it goes.

          8 days later

Biden2020prez Flippy "UPDATE" it did work with WEBIDE to change some internal settings, but no application were detected as some software clashes, keep you posted on updates.
Where will I find more on how to use ADB for KaiOS?

On edl.bananahackers.net You can Download the firehose and probably use it with qfil to dump partitions, and might be able to modify them with android image kitchen. In terms of adb i can try to find you a link but adb on those phones is weak.

            a month later

Desperate did u manage to uninstall? i just bought such a phone and as of now i am not successfull with banana hackers method

f691gf Is the Nokia 6300 phone the US version?, If yes it will be very hard to change anything, from settings to apps, as they say on the website.
There's technology stores that are willing to customize a device (for a little price) how you'd like it, find out which one is so, near you!
              Easy way out!

Desperate Yes its is (TA-1324), any recommendation in Boro Park / Williamsburg? Cuz wanna stay with email / Hotspot and maps (I think that TAG will not do it)

f691gf You can always call them to get this information.
In my opinion I think you should choose a other phone if you need map as this is 😞

Desperate for my usage this is very good for traffic condition - since i travel daily Willy/BP/Willy, i just open the map app with the traffic layer and i know if/where to avoid highway. much faster and efficient than the full fledged waze/gm app

Desperate The thing about the 6300 4G here is that it ticks nearly all the boxes of a great feature phone. All the LTE bands are there (inc newer band 71), hotspot, WiFi Calling, reputable brand, it looks good (a legit BAR phone), etc. Its just that bloated version of KaiOS that kinda kills it. Its so bad they had to put an app cleaner/killer on it. That's just beyond dumb & shortsighted.

They put the much cleaner v3.0 on the 2760 here, but its a flip & Tracfone/Straight Talk exclusive w no upgradable storage options. I sometimes think Nokia like to mess w people.

sappypappy i yearn for nokia's symbian - that was fast stable and light
BTW this 6300 4G has only one band from Verizon (B2, missing the major B4 & B13)

f691gf Yep, as an old schooler that actually had tons of these devices, I totally agree. I long for a premium feature phone that just works for the things I need & good connectivity. There's diamonds in the rough, but we're mostly left w a mishmash of cheap junk trying to cobble things together.

I've thought MANY times of just using an old device & being gimped with 2G 1900 GSM only on T-Mobile until they shut it down.
