LG Exalt SD Card Stopped Reading

I have an LG Exalt that has a properly formatted sd card in it and it has been working for a long time, but recently the sd card stopped showing up and no matter what i do i cant get the sd card to read on this phone. The sd card itself is fine because it works in another phone but this particular phone is not reading any sd cards at all. I tried to see if the slot is blocked but it looks ok. Any ideas?

MXRJR Hmm... I'd be very curious if a factory reset would solve the issue? But of course that isn't an easy decision to make.

Does recovery have an "Apply Update From Sdcard" option? Just to see if it is reading the sdcard...

MXRJR It could be that the slot is loose. Try making it tighter by taking out the sd card and the battery and make a small dent with a pen on the metal piece covering the sd slot (that should press the sd card onto the contact points of the phone)

MXRJR A Factory reset proably will fix it but if its the SD slot then proably wont work but it can be fixed (by a store) (For CASH 🤑) they like cash...

whynot tried that, it worked at first, but then the phone kept saying that the sd was ejected and then it would go back and say it was mounted and then again ejected.....seems to be something not stable with sd card slot.
Can the sd card slot be replaced?

MXRJR don’t think it can be replaced on the exalt. Once you tightened the slot enough that it reads it somewhat, try making the contact points on the sad card slightly damp (like really slightly) and put it in. Let me know if it works.
