  • LG Classic not working properly with Hello Mobile in Monsey NY.

I recently got my LG classic unlocked, while trying to use my new activated service on Hello mobile which is a GSM provider it seems to turn off the service and reconnect to make a call on the service. While I tried using the same Hello service in a smartphone and it works perfectly fine.
I tried setting the APN and all exactly what hellobmobike recommends but doesn't seem to help. Though ironically I have an actual TMobile sim card which I tried in the classic to see if that also will not work properly. But fortunately it does work well. So the issue lies on the Hello mobile sim card not working properly in the Lg classic even though its unlocked. (It was the tracfone version phone).

I saw this thread but it was discussing the CDMA network.

Myi Hmm... I consider you the best expert of using LG Classic on all the different carriers.

Myi Did you try it in the LG classic again after you put it in the smartphone?
I think you should try some of those things from the thread you quoted, specifically changing the network mode:

Next step might be trying a factory reset, even if just sounds like grasping at straws.

        Flippy good suggestion!

I once had a hello mobile sim card that came damaged and stopped working the first day. I called the company asking them to send me a new sim, as this one seemed to be damaged. They wouldn't agree. They told me I need to clean it, try in other phones, etc, and that they are "unable to send me a new one". Finally I said, "Okay, whatever, I'll pay for it. Whats the price?"

They said "Okay, we are sending a new one free of charge."

        ?!?!?!

Biden2020prez They are a nutty company. I have things like that with them all the time. Very similar story, They dont actually charge for SIM cards, they are just told to try to avoid sending new ones out. The reps there have actually very very little ability to do much, and are extremely scripted. They basically say the same few messages over and over in the same conversation.
