Hi1 that is true, the only option you have to block that is a filter from tag

      • you can edit the main menu to show any app or menu, and you can map the ptt/sos buttons to any app as well, business tools shows all installed apps, its more or less a launcher

      • family link wont work on this phone because google play services is not installed

        • resetting requires a password

4448641 but it doesn't block reset do you know a way to block reset? (I tried Google family link which blocks reset I though it will work beacuse this phone allows regular installations but wasn't able to launch the app) so I guess the olny way is rooting

          • You have to enter * # * # * # (star-pound-star-pound-star-pound) immediately upon resetting the phone, when it shows the "Select Language" screen, then click yes to allow device management. The phone can then be filtered by going to Settings>Business Tools>Device Control. The default password is 000000. You can block apps, disable software updates, installing apps etc.

Is there any way to install any other messaging app and have it work like the default messaging, ie. right soft key, notifications, etc.
Doesn't have to be message plus, just something more functional than the current app.

                • why would you need an app launcher, all installed apps are in the business tools menu, and you can customize the main menu screen to show any app/setting/menu

                  • I have a Kyocera e4810, that definitely has Wi-Fi calling when used with a Verizon sim, but wont show the menu option when a Non-Verizon sim is put in, even though my service does include Wi-Fi calling. (Same for mobile hotspot)

                  • the e 4810 works excellently with T-Mobile, however you would have to correctly set the apn yourself, and the wifi calling/ mobile hotspot may not work

                    • Will it work on Kyocera Dura xv extreme 4810

                    • The GMAIL app will not work on the Kyocera because it requires google play services, which the phone doesn't have. Same for Google Maps and other google based apps

Can you please give me the adb cmd to uninstall the waze w/o pointer that you posted

                      • sometimes takes time to get the signal try taking phone outdoors or flipping the phone closed and leaving it by the windshield for a few minutes, that usually does the job

Its an originally unlocked version of the phone. I tried it without a sim and with a T-Mobile sim. both times the ##228378 didn't work at all and the #546368#120# opened a hidden menu that didn't give developer options.
