FliphoneBochur I tried that did not work,.

I ended abusing Web.ABD to use the scripnt to control the screen.

    Thanks though.
Where does the phone back up the info? I looked in the storage on the phone, but can't seem to find the file. Though when looking in the app you can see the backup.

dvp Did you have a way to do it at the end?

Myi On the menu where you select the backup location, select your phone, and then "choose my own folder" on bottom.

FliphoneBochur I did that exactly but still have no way to access that folder on my phone. Nor can I see it on my computer.
Unless it's saved in the app itself and thats why I can't see it. I though I selected my own folder.

As well you'll need to use a mouse or the web adb to control your device as not all the keys work with your dial pad.

Here's a clip trying to select the folder.

Myi I have no clue. I tested this app on the Go Flip V & a few Kyoceras, and it worked just fine. Do you have an SD card in? Maybe try it with one in. If that doesn't fix the problem, I have no idea. Anybody have any ideas? If nobody comes up with anything or finds a way to fix the problem, maybe try backing it up to the cloud.

Air_Condition Not really, just trying to wipe them all and put Filter and info back on.
                  Exalts I'm working on.
Blue one is the one I currently use.
And the new TCL was playing around with installing a filter and blocking the browser and all.

FliphoneBochur Can try that. Though the same way I backed up the exalt notes as posted in another thread, I ran a backup file in adb for the actual app sms package and then will restore it later after reinstalling the app. Hoping it would find that file. Though slight problem was, that the backup was 1.4gb and when saving the file to my computer as a backup it's showing only 517mb. Will try another SD card, which may give it another location to back the info to.

                      A few things:

Myi FliphoneBochur I just tried on my phone without an SD card, and it worked fine. The Classic is weird.

Myi Your phone might be showing Raw data while your computer is showing compressed or you didn't backup MMS. Make sure your backup settings are configured the way you want.

Myi Dropbox and OneDrive are also options if you have a browser on your phone.

Myi Also, if you could get the SMS package, why bother using the app?

FliphoneBochur For starters I wasn't sure what the package name was.
Even after assuming that I had the correct package, after backing it up it showed 0kb. Something I must have did wrong.

Finally got the phone to allow me to select , your own folder but when I click backup it's telling me that I need to configure the settings.

This would be the easiest if it were to work.
I would back it up to a file/folder and copy/ drag it on to my computer. wipe the phone and put it back on the phone and re-download all the info.

That's exactly what I did. Why don't you just configure the settings? I don't get what's so confusing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to install apps via a .zip file through the "install ota update with sd card" function which requires an Updatepackage.zip file to install an offline update?

                              a month later

                              hi i need help,
when i wanna make a phone call, and press the send button it firsts comes up the "in call volume"
same thing happens when i'm receiving a phone call, it firsrs comes up on scream the volume

ChaseChiller That's for system updates. If you want to install apps, you'll have to do it through adb. What phone are you on?

FliphoneBochur I have this random translator device which turns out is android, and I thought it would be pretty cool to get apps on it.
But it's locked down to the core, and although I managed to find a backdoor way to the real android settings, it didn't have a developer menu.
My only hope would be through the install zip update feature.
