• Unlock LG Classic Flip

  • L-BLevel 4 - Platinum Member

FYI I unlocked the TracFone classic flip recently and it worked for the sim card that I purchased in Israel and used it there for a few days (although data was extremely slow, I couldn't even use voice access but was able to view and forward emails which was very useful). It was very nice to be able to use my own device for my time in Israel

blumax by calling TracFone porting department and paying for the time left till a year of service. They sent me an email with the codes that I needed and it worked.
I think its possible that if you prepay for the time left (by paying your plan online) that their system will show them that can unlock for less or free. (obviously only helpful if you only need to use another sim for a few days as I did). They didn't tell me this option but I did see that once my bill for the next month had gone thru on the autopay the price went down by about $12. I didn't have time to try it out but maybe someone else can and let us all know.

L-B Cool. I have service paid up until next year august. Will try and report back.
Will first switch it back over to my LG classic from the kyocera and hope it works.

Ok I figured it out, and its breaking news!!

Basically, you can buy the LG classic locked to TracFone, and purchase the cheapest 90 day plan for a one time fee of $20 (make sure to select autopay, you can also get an additional 25% for being a new customer)

And than after 60 Days you're free to unlock your phone!

I've verified that with their agent.

Just remember to turn back off autopay...

Yiddish Dont you have to have active service for a year? According to your plan do you need to wait out the 60 days before unlocking?

                    darth
No, they have changed their policy, they say "If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least 60 days must have elapsed since the device was activated."

And yes, you have to wait out for the 60 days to be able to unlock it, I just put the phone in בידוד until then loaded with 180 minutes.

This is not the best thread for this issue. Maybe start a new one.

Hi guys, I was holding after 12 months of service & unlocked my phone but the porting part didn't go so easily.
For whoever is familiar to port your number you need:
1)your phones IMEI which serves as your phone's specific id.
2)a pin given to you by tracfone.
now for some odd reason my phone's IMEI wasn't my phone's correct id, I know this because:
1)I tried porting my number with it & it didn't work .
2)when you send the word "IMEI" to 611611 it send's you the last 4 digits of the correct id, which in my case didn't match.
I called in tracfone & demanded they give me the correct ID for me to port out my number, being that's it's their system's glitch that my phone's giving me the wrong number, I spent hours on the phone with every rep & supervisor in their facility but all to no avail, They said that I'm supposed to have the correct code on my phone & for security purposes they can't give me the correct number.
But Baruch Hashem I do have some programming(hacking) skills & I successfully managed to snatch my correct code off tracfone's website & with that port out my number.
I would like to know if anyone else had the same or similar issue & I would be happy to help.

Moo yes i was tried to call the unlocking number and give my imei number and thay say its not correct so if you can help me out.
