any idea how to export all contacts? (when i try: select all-share, it says "select less than 100 contacts"
also why does my mouse spontaneously turn on (even when phone is closed)
[Login to see the link] - maybe there should be a separate page (collaboratively built?) with general information (that's not completely intuitive) about the tcl 2 -(how to use mouse, voice control, hebrew keyboard; network compatibility; unlocking guidance; how to text while in a call; any known issues etc)
many would find such a thing useful and it would reduce redundancy in these threads

    Hi, I have a interesting problem I have 2 tcl's on the first I flashed netruen.img and then I run the/vendor/bin/wirte_protect 0 command and I was able to delete the browser and install apps as system apps and a lot more, now on the second tcl I just did everything the same but when it comes to delete system apps I delete it successfully but when I reboot everything is back to normal all deleted apps comes back any ideas?

        Hi1 Issue has been reported a bunch of times. I had it on one phone but after running the command a couple more times and rebooting after each time it did work eventually. [Login to see the link] Also reported having that issue and I don't think he ever got it to work. The issue is also noted at the end of [Login to see the link] GitHub wiki. I don't think anyone has found the reason for the issue or a definite solution.

                darth your talking about the /vendor/bin/write_protect 0 command? And it's not possible it should be a difference between 2 phones since it's every thing the same we just gotta figure out the difference, like maybe it has to do if I update or not the phone (I don't have to tell you that a phone doesn't make mistakes it follows instructions)

                      Hi1 I done know. All I know is that people have been trying the same commands and getting different results. If you look upthread you can try finding where I had this issue and [Login to see the link] gave me commands to run to see what partitions still had write protect to see if the command was succefull.

                        Hi1 If you figure it out we would love to know. darth was not saying it's random, he was only saying that we don't know the reason.

                            Lol. Thanks, i ended up reading more and following the listed tutorial and got it done!!! THANKS TO ALL THAT PUT IT TOGETHER. Strange thing is it seemed to disable the dedicated message button. Any idea why?

                            I installed the rom that disables browser but allows Waze… and hotspot…

                                  Cseal89 The dedicated massage button was disable so it could be used to toggle voice access.

                                      darth thanks for your reply. Do you mean to say that this phone has voice dictation? If yes, how do i enable it?

                                            Cseal89 Assuming you installed one of my roms from [Login to see the link] just follow the instructions from the end of the original post in the thread. Also make sure you install the boot.img that it has in the instructions there so the voiceaccess can be activated (It is also required for the mouse to work for waze)

                                                darth So, it seems i didn’t install the boot.img.. so do I need to do the whole thing over(new ROM install) or can i just add the boot.img ? PS. I downloaded the ROM that has no browser but has Waze… and hotspot. I don’t care for the apps… just need hotspot. But voice dictation would be amazing…

                                                      Cseal89 You can just install the boot.img. Follow the instructions I posted in other thread. Alternatively you can activate it with adb using the following command:
                                                      adb shell settings put secure enabled_accessibility_services com.google.android.apps.accessibility.voiceaccess/com.google.android.apps.accessibility.voiceaccess.JustSpeakService

                                                          darth To use the adb method, i just plug my phone into computer and run the command posted? or do i first need to open MTK utility in reboot fastboot mode... (im new to this, sorry 😉)

                                                                Cseal89 Just plug your phone in and run the commands. You need to activate adb debugging on your phone with code *#*#33284#*#* and then run the code. No need for fastboot mode.

                                                                    I tried pasting a mod Launcher overlay apk in /product/overlay/ but it won't copy even if I remount /product to rw. If anyone knows how to fix this pls let me know

                                                                    Edit: it seems you can't paste anywhere in /product though you can delete or rename files

                                                                            whynot yes, the unprofessional way is to delete unnecessary items in /product like in product/media you can find the ring tones and you can delete a few to make space

                                                                                lgexalter1 I think there is actually a way to modify with more space not sure how but there is a way and a tool for that
