I made a very easy-to-use filter for the LG Classic Flip and LG Exalt phones. To use it, just download the EXE file , and run it. It opens a batch file to help the user setup his phone on ADB (ADB is built-in to the application), and when the phone is connected, it opens a new batch file where the user can choose what he would like to remove from his phone. I am hoping to add a feature to install apps4flip apps on your device, but I haven't done it yet (I also am not sure if there is any interest whatsoever in this, so I am releasing without that feature first). I made a GitHub page for this project here: I'd be happy for people to report issues or make requests and suggestions (here or on GitHub, here is probably easier for most people), and I'll be happy to help. This will also help me know if anyone actually cares for this. Everyone have an easy MEANINGFUL!!! (lol) rest of your fast!

But to be fair, Livigent also offers for free, and theirs may be better than mine, (until I add on apps - hopefully soon IY"H)

We have asked multiple reputable rabanim about the competition aspect many times and time and time again we always got the same response that it is 100% mutter and even encouraged as long as it's fair.

(There actually was such a program, I think on the now defunct kosherappsforflip wix site) If you do add ability to install apps, can I suggest you add the ability to install more than one at a time? That would make it useful even for non-beginners. Keep up the good work!

Let me tell you like this: Tag removed my filter without me needing to lose all my data. So you are free to remove this and lose all your data. For myself and many others, that is a big deterrent.

It still "filters" the bad apps off your phone.

If you can't control your Taivah to reset the phone and/or resetting is not inconvenient for you, then feel free to get a filter elsewhere, I am not stopping you.

chaimzalman I think it is pretty clear. I am not sure if you've used it before, but in the part of the program that uninstalls apps, there are 7 options:

Remove Browser (Highly Recommended!!!)

Remove e-mail

Remove Hotspot

Remove FM Radio

Remove Video

Remove Text Messages

It does not mention anything about preventing a factory reset, and if someone assumes it blocks factory reset, then it's his fault for assuming that it does something it doesn't claim to do. In fact, if the tool did do things that I never documented, like install a remote access trojan, or block factory reset, that would

Additionally, if someone reads through this thread, it will be very apparent what this tool does. I'm not sure why you bundle filter with blocking factory reset. Of course, that can be included in a filter, but that doesn't mean everything else is not a filter. Would you like me to add an option to uninstall settings just so I can call it a filter? Well, I don't plan on doing that anytime soon. Although I do plan or releasing the source code in case anyone wants to make their own fork, including a fork that merely changes the title from "filter" to something else.

You are welcome to call this tool anything you want. Not a problem. You can even put big warnings in this thread. But I don't have in my plans to put a big header that this "Doesn't block factory reset". In the meantime, you can bother [Login to see the link] that his Kosher Rom for the TCL Flip 2 does not block factory reset. For many filters, it is also essential to uninstall all 3rd party apps. I am not targeting that kind of crowd, in fact my tool can also install apps. And, someone can even install inappropriate apps if he wants after the filter is installed. Even a browser 😥. Of course TAG wouldn't use a filter like this, but the target audience is people who'd anyways use ADB to remove the browser and install apps (this just automates it for them).

I don't know why you think I need to take achrayus for everyone's children. A parent can/should do his research and get his child a filter that will keep the him safe from bad content. And this is certainly not strong enough for many children, bochurim and adults. But for many children, bochurim, and adults, this is more than enough. Everyone has a personal achrayus to make the right choice, and I don't take even an ounce of achrayus for their decisions.

It is not my achrayus if someone who shouldn't use this uses it anyway. I provide this as a free service and anyone is free to use it. Anyone is also free to not use it if he doesn't want to or doesn't think he should.

And I have had multiple basic phones filtered by TAG that can easily be factory reset for this reason:

I just uploaded my batch file source to Github. I didn't upload all the APK's, even though my batch scripts reference them.

Warning - My code is very messy and unorganized, uncommented.
