chaimzalman Yes, you are correct that blocking factory reset is often an important aspect of a filter. And as I mentioned, if anyone removes browser and then has a taivah to reset his phone, I encourage him to get a filter that blocks that option.
For many filters, it is also essential to uninstall all 3rd party apps. I am not targeting that kind of crowd, in fact my tool can also install apps. And, someone can even install inappropriate apps if he wants after the filter is installed. Even a browser 😥. Of course TAG wouldn't use a filter like this, but the target audience is people who'd anyways use ADB to remove the browser and install apps (this just automates it for them).
I don't know why you think I need to take achrayus for everyone's children. A parent can/should do his research and get his child a filter that will keep the him safe from bad content. And this is certainly not strong enough for many children, bochurim and adults. But for many children, bochurim, and adults, this is more than enough. Everyone has a personal achrayus to make the right choice, and I don't take even an ounce of achrayus for their decisions.
It is not my achrayus if someone who shouldn't use this uses it anyway. I provide this as a free service and anyone is free to use it. Anyone is also free to not use it if he doesn't want to or doesn't think he should.
And I have had multiple basic phones filtered by TAG that can easily be factory reset for this reason:
chaimzalman there is no easy way to remove the restrictions from the device itself even with factory reset.
I hope that explains it for you.
chaimzalman In conclusion, while the definition of a filter may vary depending on the individual's perspective, blocking factory reset is an important aspect of some filters. It is essential for users to do their proper research before installing a filter. Users who install a filter without doing their proper research take many risks on their device.
FTFY (Fixed that for you).
I appreciate your feedback. If you would like to discuss this further, feel free, I am happy to hear your opinion.
