  • Instructions for installing a kosher ROM on TCL Flip2/Classic T408DL

Hi,
Thank you for all the hard work. I Updated from a Canadian Phone 4058E and was able to install Talk&Text-With Apps Op 2. However, I lost the ability to Import/Export Contact, and also I used to have the option to turn on VoLTE (This is needed for canadians traveling to the US) and this menu option is not there anymore

How can I remove/disable the cursor?

What do I do phone will not turn on either

    Yehudi Did you do anything before these steps? is this a 16GB TCL?

        Biden2020prez yes was updating the no browser kosher rom from 1.1 to 1.2 and it got stuck by like 6/13 then I kept retrying
        phone goes into fastboot mode and into bootloader menu also phone keeps trying to go on but powercycles itsef all that comes on is TCL in red

              Yehudi 1.1 worked? Also if you are using regular fastboot mode step 6/13 takes around a half hour. Did you run fastboot reboot fastboot?

                  darth so 1.1 worked some of the family phones had some issues so i updated all except this one got a error by 6/13 I think possible the wire got pulled on this device

                  fastboot reboot fastboot just takes me to a bootloader screen but then the device is not communicating with cmd

                        Yehudi Did you modify recovery in any way? Also did you wait by 6/13 for at least a half hour to see if it would finish?

                            and left the phone attached for hrs. then got failed message

                                  Why are we referring to it as super.bin if the files all seem to beseem to super.img? What am I getting wrong?

                                            Biden2020prez Run fastboot reboot fastboot, and wait for your phone to boot to the screen that says "Android Fastboot" among other information.

                                            Any way for me to update the ROM if I am having the problem mentioned earlier, that my PC doesn't recognize when the device is rebooted into Fastboot, and still sayswaiting for device?

                                              yes. You can flash super without the rebooting step but it will take a lot longer.

                                                Flippy Just start from autobooter step (right in beginning) and it shouldnt cause problems.
