  • Instructions for installing a kosher ROM on TCL Flip2/Classic T408DL

[Login to see the link] hi thanks a lot for these roms. is there a way to prevent the button on the outside (sos?) from activating the mouse. this is causing me a lot of problems. thanks

    also is there a option that will not disable the messaging key?

      Biden2020prez Run fastboot reboot fastboot, and wait for your phone to boot to the screen that says "Android Fastboot" among other information.

      Any way for me to update the ROM if I am having the problem mentioned earlier, that my PC doesn't recognize when the device is rebooted into Fastboot, and still sayswaiting for device?

        yes. You can flash super without the rebooting step but it will take a lot longer.

          Flippy Just start from autobooter step (right in beginning) and it shouldnt cause problems.

                  ymcp Thanx to some help from [Login to see the link] I have modified the mouse. [Login to see the link]. Right now the way I made it is that only the Favorite Contacts button activates and deactivates. The directional keys move the mouse and OK selects. The volume keys scroll up and down. All other keys keep there regular functionality.

                  Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to set its functionality?

                      darth Thank you so much for doing this. Please do not use the quickdial button. That is the source of my problem the button works even when the phone is closed and when you flip open the mouse is turned on (and you don't even know that its on because the pointer doesn't show until you move it) and the buttons don't work. Please just leave it at the favorites button or maybe a double click star key. Also if there was a way to just turn it off that would be nice but not that important. Again thank you very much

                            ymcp I meant favorite contacts ⭐ key not the quick dial.

                                darth 2 suggestions:
                                Volume keys should turn on back screen even when Mouse is active in order to be able to check for the time and messages

                                A way to move the Waze map around (maybe with the 2468 keys?), and a way to zoom in and out

                                  When my phone is in fastboot mode, the computer don't detect my phone, so I can't run fastboot commends, on the cmd it comes up "waiting for device" can anyone help me.

                                    all the roms are very confusing. Which one has the most apps with just browser and email removed?

                                    darth perfect. now is it possible to explain how i go about installing it (step by step please) i'm not that good at this.
