• LG Classic Flip

Techgen ye at first I installed it directly on the lg classic flip browser and didnt know u had to use a computer but I got it now thanks

darth it has to be activated after Nov 23 or as long as you have service for months after Nov 23? I had service for like 5 months already and they said I have to pay over 100 to unlock! Is it because I already had service before Nov 23? Will it help if I put my SIM card in a new classic and wait 60 days?

Can someone help me with uninstall the browser on the LG classic Flip via ADB?

gottesfeldy There are instructions on the main site [Login to see the link]
If you need info on usb debugging or connecting to adb check the site under app installation guide. If you need help, search using

I noticed you asked this question about 4 times, please don't ask more than once, especially something like this that there already is plenty of info on.

I have the LG Classic Flip that I purchased unlocked from a Jewish company in February. On May 12 I got an email from T-Mobile (my carrier) saying:

    ACTION NEEDED:

Update your settings to stay connected

Complete by Juโ€‹ly 1, 20โ€‹22 to avoid service interruptions

Reminder! We want to make sure that you experience our best highโ€‘speed network. One or several devices on your account require settings and/or software updates in order to avoid service interruptions.

Visit our support page for instructions on how to enable your LTE/VoLTE settings and check your software is up to date so you donโ€™t experience service disruption, including the ability to make 9โ€Œ11 calls.

We talked to T-Mobile and they said there is no way to change the LTE/VoLTE settings on this phone, so it won't work after July 1. I contacted the company I got the phone from and they said no one else has contacted them about this issue. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of such a problem?

Does anyone know of a way to silence the ringer for specific callers on the classic flip?
I thought of a workaround, record a blank sound and set that as the ringer for that contact. But the problem is that I generally keep my phone on vibrate, and I want it to not even vibrate for those contacts. I don't want to block them. Just want to see their texts at my convenience. (Mass text lists etc.)

Try this: [Login to see the link]
This app can silence your contacts. I haven't tested it out much, I don't know if it will fix your vibration issue, let me know once you try.

Unfortunately, there are prerequisites. This app uses a few permissions, like contacts and calling. It also needs do not disturb access].

I was able to setup that permissions via [Login to see the link], but on a phone with the regular settings app, the Mute Contacts app just crashes. I think there is an ADB Command to allow it, (probably one that start with adb shell appops set), but I couldn't figure it out. It's possible that there is an app that can allow those permissions, I'll look into that.

Note: If you decide to install [Login to see the link], do it via ADB, the instructions in the linked post don't work for many people.

Also note: When you open the app, there is a very annoying, useless introduction. There is a skip button, which doesn't work ๐Ÿ™. So, you'll have to sit there for two minutes and watch it.

        Biden2020prez Thanks
But based on that post I would have to install the settings mod on a clean install, which is not practical on a phone that I've been using for a while. I tried a different "mute contacts" app which didn't crash but it just didn't work even though I was able to enable permissions. Based on reviews of it on Google Play store, it's not surprising that it didn't work.

mr-mayor I don't think the factory reset thing is true. Try installing with adb install -g -r lgsettings.apk

Biden2020prez Sorry but I'm a beginner with this stuff. I've learned how to modify apk's for the classic and run basic commands on ADB, but that's all I know. Should I download the settings mod to the phone first, then run that command on ADB? I don't really understand all the instructions in the other thread. I'm using webadb as I could not figure out how to get adb working on my computer.
            Thanks

            Biden2020prez Thanks,
I was able to get the setting app installed and now the app doesn't crash. But the app doesn't actually work. The only thing that works somewhat is if I click "mute all numbers except those in contact list" Then it mutes all calls, whether in contact list or not. Otherwise it doesn't do anything. If I select certain contacts to mute it doesn't work.
