Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but I got the Alcatel GO FLIP 4 (4056W) in June from a T-mobile store, and it ran on KaiOS. It broke a few days ago when I dropped it so I went to a different T-mobile store and bought the TCL FLIP Go (4058W), which runs on Android, I believe. I've read through this whole thread looking for info about it, even though I didn't completely understand most of what the posts were saying. (Although I don't understand it, whatever is going on with ADB stuff, etc. sounds very cool and it's amazing that people are testing out solutions for so many different phones - so thank you to everyone involved)
Can someone explain to me what's with all these different models of this phone? If they look exactly the same why do they run different operating systems? The Alcatel one had google maps, but the TCL one doesn't have any extra apps - does anyone know why not? It sounds like people here are trying to figure out a way to add apps to it, but has anyone figured out a safe and successful way to do it with this TCL model? I don't want to do anything that will cause my phone to break or not function properly.
If someone has the TCL model I do have more questions about how it works, so please let me know.
