papermario If you have zenit installed, which I believe you do from your other comment, just long press the app and select "app info" then selection permissions and enable all the ones you need. No adb needed.

Looking at the apps features, notification access is likely used for detecting different app notifications to schedule DND. If you only need the app for scheduling based on time you could probably leave it off.

hyperactiv Try Macro Droid, or else we might be able to create a shell script that runs on boot.

Found more interesting things, idk if this could maybe be added to the Flip2 wiki by [Login to see the link] ?

If you install [Login to see the link]

then you can use the search function to open the native android settings "search" feature (by launching the search intent from com.android.settings) and then search for any native android setting.

this allows you to reset / change stuff like default apps.

So far you can replace or reset:

Home, Web Browser, Home App, Phone App, and the SMS App.

You can also enable the full debug menu as well, allowing one to change debug settings without adb use

hyperactiv There are a few other ways. For example dialing *#*#217703#*#*, choosing MTK non framework lbs, and there should be a button to that brings you to a screen with a search bar on top right.

I just saw someone's tagged TCL Flip 2 and it had a different recent calls app which works well. It also had a Zmanim app. Just wanted to know if anyone knows if its proprietary? Or i can get them?

beginer If you follow [Login to see the link]'s suggestion right above your comment you can launch the accessibility center built into android (instead of the one TCL made) and you can activate that feature.

techy It's android so you can do any recent call app you want "technically"

Can you please explain what to do with these mouse files?

sahmed92 That was meant to be a reply to someone... can't find the post now. But basically I'm having a hard time getting the mouse to work on my TCL Flip 2. I mostly followed the instructions on Apps4Flip but because I didn't want a Kosher phone, I used the neutron.img instead of one of those ROMS. I've successfully installed Magisk and other APK's through ADB but a lot of them are useless without a mouse. I did flash the boot.bin before the neutron.img but still no mouse. Have Neutron Scott's mousev2 downloaded but no idea what to do with the files.

          Thanks.

sahmed92 You need to root the device, then install the mouse files via Magisk: [Login to see the link]

Edit: I should learn to read. Open magisk from the app drawer, then in the modules menu, select install and then browse to the vmouse2.zip file (don't unzip, just the file) then reboot when done.

Also, use [Login to see the link] to control the phone if you have issues navigating with the dpad

Add A) Please post anything related to apps and rooting here, and post anything related to kosher ROMs ins that thread.
              B) If you want an easy quick-start guide, see here: whynot

beginer When you run the command, magisk will pop up on the phone asking for root permissions, you must hit "grant" for the command to complete.
