sahmed92 You need to root the device, then install the mouse files via Magisk: [Login to see the link]

Edit: I should learn to read. Open magisk from the app drawer, then in the modules menu, select install and then browse to the vmouse2.zip file (don't unzip, just the file) then reboot when done.

Also, use [Login to see the link] to control the phone if you have issues navigating with the dpad

Add A) Please post anything related to apps and rooting here, and post anything related to kosher ROMs ins that thread.
    B) If you want an easy quick-start guide, see here: whynot

beginer When you run the command, magisk will pop up on the phone asking for root permissions, you must hit "grant" for the command to complete.

hyperactiv Most users were not able to install via the app. Glad to hear it worked for you!

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately Magisk does not let me open the vmouse2.zip file. When I do Magisk -> Modules -> Install from Storage, then navigate to the folder containing the file, it simply doesn't show up.

sahmed92 You need to install it via adb. It doesnt work to install from the magisk app.

darth There's no APK in the Neutron Scott mouse. When I try to install either vmouse2 zip or the mouse file within using adb install the terminal just tells me that I need an APK

sahmed92 you need to install it with magisk --install-module from a root shell

                Biden2020prez

If I enter: adb shell su -c magisk --install-module C:\Users\[name]\Downloads\Flip_Root\vMouse2.zip
I get a response saying: C:Users[name]DownloadsFlip_RootvMouse2.zip' does not exist

As though it's not reading the backslashes that I put into the path. And if I try it with forward slashes that doesn't work either.

Edit: Never mind I got it! Didn't realize you had to navigate through the phone's file system. I'm new to all this. Figured it out though, thanks!

Requires permission not exported from uid 10113

                  whats this?

I recently changed my default messaging app to google messages. I want to map the hardware message button to go to the google messages app, but when I use the button mapper app, it just automatically opens the native messaging app. Button Mapper doesn't even recognize it. Is there any way to do this?
