Johnson9997 Android phones need Android file transfer to read on a Mac

Flippy I've accessed files on LG Exalt on a Mac without this transfer thing....just setting the phone to file transfer mode.

          MXRJR Got it working?

MXRJR update: seems to be that newer versions of macOS will require android file transfer to view files.

i seem to have found a very similar phone to the second generation one that they are selling.

If you type in 4G MTK6739 Flip Phone Gsm Double Screen Mobile Phone Large Keyboard And Large Bettery Android Cell Phones to allibaba it should come up

Amped the battery capacity is the same, the processor is slightly different but over all there are a lot of similarities like the fact that neither have a 3.5 mm jack which i think is ridiculous for a flip phone...

Amped and they both use the exact same stock wallpaper on the front screen. however i am noticing some differences between them but the similarities are too striking to be a coincidence

also the screen sizes are exactly the same dimensions including the outer one but the camera placement is a bit different. not sure but it seems promising

also i think i found the body that was used for the original fig flip phone too. not that it matters...

Amped Thats sort of the way these things work. People find an existing model/mold/idea that a factory makes, and customize it to meet their requirements. Thats how most electronics work these days, especially from smaller brands. It's really hard to make a mold from scratch, and even if someone did, the factory could always go and sell it publicly on Alibaba...

Flippy so you think that they did create it from scratch and now the manufacturer is selling it separately?

also i just saw earlier that there was a question of whether they created it from scratch or not and i was just trying to show that they didn't. im pretty well versed in the manufacturing and backend of creating phones. i learned a lot when i worked with OnePlus.

Amped I actually think they did not, just trying to say that even if they did, its possible for it to show up later because thats just what the factories do. If they did it from scratch it would look a bit better hopefully, and not like another chinese knockoff.

Thats interesting, what did you do for OnePlus?

this is precisely what happened to fig many times as I know personally, many mock ups that they designed from scratch have surfaced on the market, these Chinese factories have no concept of contract and private client dealings.
